Celebrate a Decade of Dance With LS Dance Company

This past Saturday, Sierra Canyon's Lower School Dance Company reached a remarkable milestone by celebrating its 10th annual recital.

Aptly titled "Lower School Dance Company: 10 Years of Dance," the event was a testament to a decade of dedication, passion, and talent. From Pre-K to 6th Grade, students captivated the audience with their performances. The recital commenced with the delightful Tiny Toes, who enchanted everyone with their rendition of "When I Am Old" from Frozen 2. Then, the Jr. Company took the stage, grooving to the upbeat rhythm of "Feel It Still" by Portugal. The Man. Company A/B brought the house down with an encore performance of "Youth" by Daughters, showcasing their impressive skills and energy. It also featured a diverse array of solos, duets, and trios, from a spirited rendition of Beyonce's "Texas Hold 'em" by Chayce G. '34 to a mesmerizing performance by Wilder F. '33, Alexandria R. '32, and Eden K. '32 to Billie Eilish's "Lovely."

As part of the anniversary celebration, the Dance Company was honored to welcome back alums, including Hannah S. '23 and Ashley R. '22, who shared their experiences and memories of being part of this vibrant community. These heartwarming montages were a poignant reminder of the Dance Company's legacy and impact over the years. The tenth anniversary recital was a resounding success, with a sold-out show and standing ovations.

Congratulations to the Dance Company on this milestone achievement, and here's to many more years of inspiring performances and unforgettable moments. Bravo, Trailblazers!
